On the Horizon.. Exciting news to report.
This December marks the 13th anniversary of the lady & the sailor Collection.
What started with just five styles and the love for great basics has been nurtured into so much more: thousands of pieces designed and sold, clients from all over the world, retail stores in communities that I love, and an amazing roster of women who have supported the lady & the sailor. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be fortunate enough to paint the picture of a career I love so much. So first and foremost: THANK YOU for making all of this possible. And now, with a full heart, I’m excited to report on the latest lady happenings.

AND FOR THE PART I LOVE THE MOST
In the past 13 years, I’ve learned the biz – much self-taught but also lovingly guided by a talented few. I’ve had big wins, some setbacks and a complete and ongoing evolution of the Collection, alongside the woman I have grown to become.
This path has gifted me an outlet to create, taken me on journeys around the world, and allowed me to work with some of the people I love the most. And at the end of the day, it’s provided me with so much joy, direction and fulfillment.
Like so many, I’ve taken these times as an opportunity to reflect, and take both personal and professional inventory. In the spirit of designing the life you want to live, I’m choosing to go in pursuit of what truly inspires me and fuels my soul: designing beautifully uncomplicated clothes that women love to wear. In the new year, I’ll be embracing my role as the Creative Director of the lady & the sailor and taking a step back from the day-to-day retail operations.
By shifting my energy, I’ll be able to focus on designing and creating – bringing you more Collections shaped from my greatest inspirations (not to worry, everything you know and love will remain!).
By getting back to the creative aspects I love the most, we’re making big changes to our retail operation. I will remain the sole owner & creator of the lady & the sailor but I’ve partnered with some highly talented friends to develop some new concepts.
WE’RE MOVING
With so much gratitude for an incredible 7 years, we have decided to move our retail space to Laguna Beach, CA as the next phase of the lady & the sailor. It’s been a privilege to be a part of the Brentwood community and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many phenomenal women. I am eternally grateful for all the unwavering support you have provided. I look forward to having you come along with us as we ease into the next phase of our journey.
I’ve partnered with my dear friend and stylist Heather Snow to open this new concept. Expect a beautiful space filled with a thoughtful curation of necessary luxuries. There’s something so special and rejuvenating about a fresh start: the gift of taking all the wins, losses and lessons learned and honing them into something new and beautiful. This project is EXTRA SPECIAL and we can’t wait to share all of the details with you soon!
And for my most cherished news, my brother and his wife announced they are expecting – TWINS! And TWO GIRLS! Two little ladies coming April of next year.
We have always played with the idea of introducing a Children’s Collection but this sealed the deal! You can expect the launch of our first Children’s Collection in early 2022 (did someone say “baby bouclé?”).
My hope is to create a flourishing new division of the lady & the sailor that evolves into a family-owned-and-operated business; working side-by-side with the ladies I love the most. I will have so many more things to announce in the new year as we prepare for the next chapter of the lady & the sailor including updates on the Collection, a fresh online shopping experience, and more.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you for making these first few chapters possible. The support means the world to me and seeing you lovingly wear my clothes all these years is truly an honor. I have never been more inspired and passionate about the future, and I can’t wait for you to join me on the journey.
